Feeding ducks and geese along the river has become a favorite family activity as the result of creating the Master Plan for this City Park. Now one of Whitefish’s most pleasant settings, this six-acre city park had been historically used as a sanitation and refuse site. A portion of the project for Bruce Boody, ASLA, included clean-up and removal of hazardous material, fill and regrading and sewer construction. Tennis court upgrade, parking, walks, landscaping and irrigation has made Riverside Park popular as it wraps around Whitefish River. A new footbridge connects this area to the on-going bike/pedestrian trail system through Whitefish.
